Kyle Kalousdian had an extraordinary ability to bring people together. Through his friendships, his dedication to serving others, and his dream of becoming a firefighter, Kyle lived with purpose, loyalty, and compassion.
Although Kyle’s life ended before he could fully realize his goal of serving as a firefighter, his legacy continues to inspire others to pursue that same calling. Each summer, family, friends, coworkers, classmates, firefighters, community supporters, and new faces gather for a day of golf, fellowship, laughter, and remembrance.
Kyle was a proud graduate of the Macomb Community College Fire Academy. To honor his life and help others achieve the goal that meant so much to him, his family and friends established the Kyle Kalousdian Memorial Endowed Scholarship at Macomb Community College.
The scholarship provides multiple awards each year to help aspiring firefighters offset the cost of tuition, books, supplies, and required fire equipment. As the endowment grows, it can provide greater support to more students pursuing careers in the fire service.
One hundred percent of the funds raised through this outing go directly to the endowed scholarship fund, helping ensure Kyle’s legacy continues to create opportunities for generations to come.
For fifteen years, this outing has brought together people from every chapter of Kyle’s life: family, friends, classmates, coworkers, firefighters, police officers, military members, neighbors, local businesses, first-time golfers, and returning foursomes.
Every August, they come together for one reason:
To celebrate a life that continues to make a difference.
Food will be available throughout the round, including a food station at the turn and a sandwich and fruit station. No formal dinner will be served. Golfers are welcome to remain after the round to relax with friends at the clubhouse and patio.
Golfer Bracelet: Includes two mulligans and entry into the Long Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Putting contests.
Optional Team Skins: $40 per team.
